Hazy-Foggy Headlight Restoration
I know how bad yellow foggy headlight looks and performs. Maybe you've observed that your visibility is much worse at night or when it's raining (thank you Vancouver weather).
In most cases, we can save your headlight and bring some life back rather than replacing it with a new one. Which saves you a lot of money and time.
We don't use a typical headlight repair kit like the one you could purchase at your neighbourhood auto store.
To provide the greatest results, we go through an extensive 10-steps sanding, compounding, polishing, and protecting. This is a permeate option to restore your headlights.
Our Headlight Restoration Process:
1. We start by sanding your headlight using 800 grit where we get most of the oxidization
2. Sand headlight with 1000 grit
3. Sand headlight with 1500 grit
4. Sand headlight with 2000 grit we remove less oxidation as the process advances
5. Sand headlight with 2500 grit
6. Sand headlight with 3000 grit
7. Sand headlight with 5000 grit
8. Compound the headlight
9. Polish the headlight
10. Apply protection to the headlight
Your headlights' old, faded, and oxidized clear finish will be removed by sanding them (which leads to the yellow-foggy look). After that, we'll polish and compound them to restore them to like-new condition. Then we'll install a layer of protection.

Headlight Restoration Vancouver FAQ
Do you guarantee to get the headlights back to its brand new condition?
Not in every case, there is only so much we can do and control.Oxidation can happen both inside and outside but we only can control the outside problem since we don’t take your lens off. But we guarantee that we will make your headlights look and perform 10 times better.
How can I maintain the appearance of my headlights?
Headlights have a clear coat that the sun could beat over time just like your paint. What causes your headlights to fade is leaving it without protection. It is not a big deal for the short term. But for the long term this could lead to replacing your headlights. Check out our premium wash or wash & wax services where we apply a protection to your headlights. NOTE: Our Sapphire Shine Plus clients will never get faded headlights since they are protected as long as we serve them.
Does headlight restoration make a difference by their performance?
The amount of light output will significantly change after headlight restoration. Most of the time, we can restore the headlights to close to 80 to 90% of their original condition using our professional headlight restoration services. This can significantly improve driving visibility and safety.
What Causes Cloudy Headlights from the beginning face?
When exposed to UV light, acrylic headlights oxidize. To help with this, headlight lenses are provided with a clear coat on the surface. With time, the coating fades off, and sunlight causes the hard plastic to become yellow.
